  Silver Iris

The Silver Iris is a 1952 vintage Budd Company car that was build for the CB&Q and ran on the American Royal zephyr overnight between Chicago and Kansas City.  It was in San Antonio for the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners, Inc. (AARPCO) Texas Special Train.

  SAU&G Depot - Pleasanton

These photos were taken on September ‎22, ‎2008.  Unfortunately, the museum was closed that day.
The Longhorn Museum is located at 1959 TX-97m Pleasanton, TX 78064
UP Caboose 25456 is also on display there.

  The Evelyn Henry and Warren R Henry

The Creative Charters cars "Evelyn Henry" (Sleeper)  and "Warren R Henry" (Dome/Observation) were in San Antonio at SAS on October 13, 2008.  I have had the pleasure to tour these beautiful cars and to meet Mr. Patrick Henry and Mrs. Evelyn.  The cars are immaculate and both Mr. Henry and his mother were very personable and gracious hosts.  I hope one day to be able to take a journey on these fine cars.  These photos don't do the cars justice but, enjoy them anyway!
